“Faith in the Journey”

Chicago’s schools are a beautiful mosaic of cultures.
This mural weaves together the interviews of over a dozen Chicago Public Schools students, alumni, and parents. They came from places as close as Puerto Rico and as far as Hong Kong. The mural depicts the common themes: love of family, beauty of homeland, urgency of travel, danger in journey, joy of arrival, and the necessity of faith in a new land.
